My name is Mike and I live in Dorset on the south coast of England. I have lived in Poole and Bournemouth all my life (some 30 years now) and I love it. I may not have much in the way of a frame of reference, but I love it anyway!
I'm Vicky. Originally from London (the big smoke as I like to call it!), I moved down to the south coast to train as a nurse and have never returned. I am the more cynical of the two of us and have a rather twisted sense of humor, probably as a result of my job. I definitely wear the trousers in the relationship, and like to lighten the tone at any given opportunity.
I believe chivalry dictates that I refrain from passing comment... I have an office job and live in a flat in Bournemouth with Vicky - she is my main inspiration and this blog is the first step in documenting our journey together. This is the start of a positive change.
You could try washing up once in a while, that would make a change...
I have worked in offices for the last 10 years or so and it has paid the bills, but I don't feel I will achieve my life goals and dreams until I am my own boss and in control of my own destiny. It wont happen overnight, but you have to start somewhere and this is as good a place as any.
So in an effort to be a good girlfriend, I thought I would support him by joining in on the fun. That and this way I get to make sure it is actually fun to read - he gets a bit heavy sometimes!
...that's a side-effect of eating too much. I like to draw, I like to write and I love music and art and nature. I hope that one day I can make a living sharing my love of these things with the world.
I can't draw, but I do like to go on adventures, particularly in the forest and down by the sea, and generally have good times exploring new places. I also like to eat and drink, so that will probably feature heavily in my sections.
Most of all, we hope you like what we share and that it makes you smile.
